For Haydee & Yun, London isn’t just a city—it’s a feeling. Their love for travel brought them here many times before, but this trip was different. This time, they weren’t just visiting; they were getting married. Flying in from the USA, they gathered their closest family and friends for a wedding that was not just a celebration of their love but also a moment to share some exciting news—Haydee’s pregnancy!
​From the very start, their energy was infectious. Jetlag? Not a chance. They embraced every moment, from the historic charm of Andaz London Liverpool Street to the unmistakable buzz of the city. And while their wedding was full of elegance and emotion, they still made time for the most British of traditions—Greggs sausage rolls.
Andaz, Liverpool Street, London
The Andaz is one of London’s most unique wedding venues, blending Victorian grandeur with modern luxury, and it provided the perfect setting for Haydee & Yun’s day. The spacious, beautifully designed rooms were ideal for the morning preparations, where the excitement built as the couple got ready with their loved ones.
Before the ceremony, Haydee & Yun shared a private first look on the grand staircase—a breathtaking moment that led straight into their emotional private vows. In the quiet before the big celebration, they spoke their promises to each other, away from the crowd, making it one of the most moving moments of the day. Moments later, surrounded by family and friends, their best friend officiated the ceremony in the stunning Fenchurch room, adding a deeply personal touch to an already intimate occasion.
Following the ceremony, guests gathered for cocktail hour in Rake’s Parlour, a stylish and relaxed space where they toasted to the newlyweds. The buzz of London just outside only added to the energy, as laughter and conversation filled the room.
Then came one of the most visually striking parts of the day—the wedding breakfast in the Masonic Temple. This historic space, hidden within the Andaz, felt like a scene straight out of Game of Thrones. The grand architecture, intricate details, and candlelit atmosphere made it the perfect place for heartfelt speeches, incredible food, and an unforgettable dining experience.
As the night continued, the celebrations ramped up. The dance floor came alive, with music, drinks, and nonstop energy keeping the party going. Haydee & Yun’s friends and family, many of whom had flown across the world just to be there, made sure that this was a night to remember.
As a documentary wedding videographer, my goal is always to capture the real, unfiltered moments—and this wedding was full of them. Both Haydee & Yun were mic’d up all day, allowing me to record not only their vows and speeches but also the candid conversations, laughter, and quiet moments in between.
I also conducted interviews with family and friends, adding another layer of storytelling to their film. Hearing their loved ones share stories and express their joy made the film feel even more personal.
And of course, no London wedding would be complete without stepping out into the city itself. Before the evening celebrations, we took Haydee & Yun into the streets to soak in the atmosphere—capturing them against the iconic backdrop of the city they love. With London buzzing around them, it was the perfect way to seal the day.
Haydee & Yun’s wedding at Andaz London Liverpool Street was the perfect mix of intimacy, adventure, and pure joy. It was a celebration of not just their love for each other but their love for London, travel, and the people who mean the most to them.
A destination wedding doesn’t have to mean escaping to a remote island or countryside retreat. Sometimes, it’s about bringing your favorite people to a city that means something to you and letting the energy of that place become part of your story.
And for Haydee & Yun, London was the perfect place to begin this next chapter—sausage rolls and all.
