From their two beautiful daughters being part of the celebrations to the presence of their closest loved ones, every moment of the day was a reflection of their journey together.

Westenhanger Castle was the perfect setting for their joy-filled, intimate, and unforgettable wedding. A venue full of history, charm, and some unique surprises, it provided the most magical backdrop for Lucy & Sam to say, I do.

Lucy and her bridal party got ready in one of the most impressive prep spaces I’ve seen—a spacious, light-filled suite that spanned two rooms and a landing above the stairs, creating the perfect atmosphere for laughter, excitement, and those final wedding morning touches. Meanwhile, Sam and the boys were tucked away in a snug with an open fire, giving their morning a relaxed, warm, and classic feel.
With family at the heart of their day, their two young daughters were a huge part of the morning prep, adding an extra layer of love and excitement as they got ready alongside Lucy.

Lucy & Sam’s ceremony took place in Westenhanger Castle’s quirky banqueting hall, a setting that perfectly balanced historic charm and warmth. The character of the hall, with its exposed beams and intimate feel, made their vows feel even more personal and meaningful.
From the moment Lucy walked in, you could feel the emotion in the room—a beautiful blend of nerves, excitement, and love. It was a ceremony filled with laughter, heartfelt vows, and the undeniable presence of two people completely meant for each other.
After the ceremony, guests were welcomed into a beautifully decorated marquee, where the reception and speeches took place. The transformation of the space was stunning, with elegant styling, soft lighting, and an atmosphere that felt both intimate and grand.
One of the standout moments of the reception was the curtain reveal—a dramatic moment that unveiled the dancefloor, marking the start of the evening celebrations. The transition from heartfelt speeches to full-on party mode was seamless, and from that point on, the energy was electric.

Westenhanger Castle is a venue that offers far more than just historic charm and stunning grounds—it also has a ship within the grounds. Yes, a ship! The combination of castle ruins, beautifully maintained gardens, and this unexpected feature made for some incredible footage and gave the day a truly unique feel.
Stepping away for some couple shots around the grounds, Lucy & Sam had a quiet moment to take everything in before diving back into the celebrations. These are always some of my favourite parts of the day—when couples can pause, breathe, and just enjoy being with each other for a few moments away from the crowd.
Above everything else, Lucy & Sam’s wedding was about family. It was in the little moments—the way they looked at their daughters, the heartfelt speeches from parents, the love and support that filled every space of the day.
As a documentary wedding videographer, capturing a wedding like this is always an honor. The raw emotions, the laughter, the quiet moments, the all-out celebrations—it’s these moments that turn a wedding into a story that will be remembered for generations.
